2/23 Weekend: Westchester, Lincoln Southwest, Irma Rangel, and Jackson-Reed Dominate The Weekend

We’re back again with another weekend of some awesome debates! This weekend we have four tournaments taking place. Let’s give folks their flowers!

TOC DIGITAL SPEECH AND DEBATE SERIES 2

At the TOC online series, we saw a fun scrimmage/round robin style tournament taking place. Of the 7 teams competing, the top seed by the end was Jackson-Reed! Congratulations to Devan Tatlow, Greta Bradley-Meal, William Nichols, Churchill Tatton, and Samara Cuaresma.

MILLARD NORTH MILO CUP 2024

Meanwhile, at Millard North the final round has Millard North on the proposition against Lincoln Southwest on the opposition. They debated the motion: “THB that all Human Spaceflight should only be conducted by the governments of the many nations, or intergovernmental organisations, and not by private entities”. On a 2-1 decision, Lincoln Southwest clutched the crown. Congrats to Trey Fenton, Hudson Witte, Garrison Mehlin, and Henry Cline!

DUDA MIDDLE SCHOOL TOURNAMENT 4

In Dallas, DUDA held a middle school scrimmage for their students. There was no official final round on Tabroom but the top seed at the tournament was Irma Rangel’s Alari'xava Robins, Carly Martinez, Elizabeth Ramirez, Riya Jain, and Billye Mayer! Congratulations!

OLLE OWL MIDDLE SCHOOL INVITATIONAL

Last but not least in Houston, the final round was between Westchester on the proposition and Village on the opposition. On a 2-1 decision, Westchester Academy emerged victorious. Congratulations to Elise Bernadac, Melissa Habani, Abigail Sutherland, Nathan Do, and Madeleine Lu!
