EEC, Solar Prep, and Burbank (Hybrid) Win Big!

Another weekend is in the books! Let’s take a look at this week’s winners.

2024 HARVARD COLLEGE WORLD SCHOOLS INVITATIONAL

Novice

In the final round, EEC Camel on the proposition debated against EEC Azure on the opposition. They debated the motion: THW phase out the use of physical cash. EEC Camel ultimately won the grand final round and were named novice champs! Congratulations to EEC’s Zachary Li, Leo Guo, Susanna Li, Yuheng Yang.

Varsity

In the final round, Team Canada 2 on the proposition debated EEC Blue on the opposition. They debated the motion: THR the popularization of the idea that an individual's identity should determine the credibility of their perspective on social justice issues. Ultimately, EEC Blue claimed victory and secured the championship title. Congratulations to EEC’s Andy Lin, Jerry Zhang, Michael Peng, Kelvin Fan, Angela Qi.

DUDA MIDDLE SCHOOL TOURNAMENT 5

DUDA held their last regular season tournament. The top seed in advanced World Schools was Solar Prep’s team of  Edith Nkana, Solange Lindsay, and Alana Jimenez. The top seed in the beginner division was Solar Prep’s team of Kristen Roman, Hannah Zegeye, and Elsa Berg.

WEST LOS ANGELES NSDA WORLD SCHOOLS DEBATE QUALIFIER

In West LA, we saw a WSD qualifier for NSDA! At the tournament, the top team was the Hybrid Burbank entry. Congratulations to Aayushi Garg, Soren Jensen, Vedant Khadiya, James Miller, and Edna Yeghnanyan!
