Kinkaid Claims the Kandi King Round Robin
We’re totally digging the alliteration of this awesome win! This past weekend, Northland Christian hosted the phenomenal Kandi King RR. For those unfamiliar, a round robin is a tournament that is invite only. It aims to include the best of the best while giving students a chance to prepare for nearby future national tournaments (i.e. the TOC). Let’s get into the details of the weekend!
Tournament Breakdown
In the final round, Kinkaid King Cows on the proposition debated Southlake Shawtys on the opposition. They debated the motion: “When distributing welfare, THP that governments provide direct cash transfers instead of social goods (e.g. food stamps, free education, vocational training programmes)”. On a 2-1 decision, the Kinkaid King Cows emerged victorious! Congratulations to Kaveen Shah, John Patterson, Sophie Zhou, and Caroline Pielop!
